Quick OOTD : 25/05/16 Blazer

F21 Rucksack (similar here)
J Crew Linen Tee (these do actually wash well)
Zara Jeans
Next Felted Skater Pumps (2016 version here)

That moment when Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman says to the snooty shop assistant, "BIG Mistake. BIG HUGE!"

My thoughts exactly when I stepped out on the school run this morning. It's May, it's freezing and I'm off to put my coat on!

  1. That's a cute blazer, Sue! Just the right amount of slouch... I feel the same way every day here, it was snowing yet again just 2 days ago and I can't seem to figure out how the hell I'm supposed to get dressed any more. I see you've opened the Pandora box of J Crew tees-I've never looked back, I keep squirelling them away when they have my size on sale!

    1. You've hit the nail on the head about the blazer - it does have the right amount of slouch which is what makes it much more wearable for me. And the J Crew tee, I picked up in one of their sales - I wasn't sure at first as it felt like it got bigger and bigger but now it seems to have settled down after a few washes and it's fine. I prefer linen tees to the usual cotton ones anyway. And that weather ... the less said the better.

  2. Me too - making a 'huge mistake' - when will I learn that Salisbury is famed for its windy plains & that when I turn the corner into my son's school playground it's like summit-ing on Mt Everest... So my flimsy denim jacket did not cut the Dijon this morning. Brrrr. On a more positive note, your OOTD was Kool & the gang! 😎

    1. Well I started off with the outfit in the picture today. Then I had to nip out and I had to change in to my fleecy Uniqlo peacoat. And then on the school run I had a rain jacket on and Stans and a brolly. Talk about being confused or what? And thanks about the outfit - shame I didn't get to wear it like that for long. Hey ho!

  3. It's warming up now though! (Or at least I hope it is where you are!) Love the pumps - Next do have some fab trainers at the moment. Jane X

    1. I've had the pumps for a couple of years now - I thought they'd had their day and were looking a little tatty till I gave the white trims a clean - they look like new again. And Next are always strong on their shoe game!

  4. Yep the trim cleaner is on my shopping list when I'm next in the Pound Shop. Thanks for the tip!! I bought a similiar navy blazer from TopShop a couple of months ago and just love it, plus it was in the Sale so that always helps :) Looking fab Sue xx

    1. I think you might have the same blazer as Michelle from Myfashionable40s. She picked one up in the sale too not so long ago. And do get one of those erasers - they really do work some magic and I don't know how!
