Boy Treasure

Ahh it's been a long seven weeks but I've enjoyed the lazy mornings, the lounging in pj's and the no agenda days. But now it's back to school. And to show solidarity and empathy to my boys situation today, I donned my A.P.C. sweatshirt today as I felt it had an appropriately scholarly vibe.

Zara coat (old), APC sweatshirt (old), Zara jeans (old), Converse (old but still available here)

I will miss the precious time we had over the summer my lovely boys ....

I ....

... smell ....

... FREE ...

... DOM!

but frankly by the seventh week you were both doing my head in!

Last Note :

I like this one too.

  1. Oh you make me chuckle! I got a whole 2 hours to myself today - a whole 2 hours I tell you ! (Youngest in pre-school, not primary yet!) I feel like a different woman. Don't feel we made the most of the lie ins to be honest, mental note made not to pack the holidays so full next time. Love the sweater x

    1. Two whole hours - I hope you made the most of it! It sounds like you did if you've come out of it a different woman!

  2. Haha - I might have fist pumped at the school gate last week....but in my defence, we had 9 weeks off. Just been spouting about slogan tops on Fiona's blog but I actually like yours....I think I'm just not cool enough for them. You carry them off effortlessly x

    1. Nine weeks!?! That's obscene. And you're still sane and functioning? I saw your comment on Fiona's blog about slogan tops and sweatshirts and thought Avril will hate all mine! You can't backtrack now ;o)

    1. So do I Frances - a Bella Freud one would be lovely. One day, maybe, one day! And yes, I have to say, it's a total joy to do the supermarket shop without yelping at two small people and finding oddities in the trolley at the checkout!

  4. I must be the only one who doesn't like the school holidays! I hate the juggling, the boredom (them), the frustration (me). I wish they had a weekend off and that be that!

    1. I like them and I don't like them. I like them for a little while as I do enjoy the chilling out and not rushing out the door thing but there comes a point when I think "school will do you the world of good boys!".

  6. As fun as the school holiday are, I do think by the time they are ready to back, you are all needing to get back into some sort of routine again. even if it is early mornings?! Love the sweatshirt Sue, good old Mum's solidarity!!

  7. I'm so glad you said that! I'm a much happier bunny (as are the kids if I'm honest) now that we're back into the old routine! I'm all for the summer hols being split into two shorter breaks - better all round for the sanity of parents everywhere! xx

    1. I kind of think that but then again, I'm all for doing it all in a oner and then it's done and dusted. But yes, the routine is great ... the homework to come is not so great.
