Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery ....

.... so Bella Freud should be very flattered with Topshop!

And Isabel Marant should be very flattered .... with Topshop!

And Adidas should be very flattered ..... Isabel Marant!

As they say, what goes around, comes around :o)

Last Note :

  • One day that Bella Freud jumper will be mine. It's my birth year don't you know?
  • That Isabel Marant has done a take on the Stan Smiths does tickle me. Time she got her own back.

  6. Oh my! The Bella Freud sweater is just divine.....just wish they did it in *1969* ;0) I'm not sure.....but I think I prefer the Topshop version of the Marant sweater and I would definitely choose the original Stan's over the Marant trainers.....but I don't blame her one jot for having a go!! xx

  8. I notice these things too, but I didn't think of making a post about them. Snap.
To be honest, trainers....I'd rather buy Adidas anyway. But the topshop sweater is well inferior compared to Bella Freud one. I love that one.

    1. I adore the Bella Freud one - I had a look through the colour range and I have to say that even if I could afford one - what colour to actually buy? Black? Navy? Red? Decisions, decisions. Best that I can't afford one and then that it's one less thing to concern myself about.

  9. Good connection Sue, I did see that sweater in topshop and thought it was a bit random but now it makes sense. I think you should get that 1970 sweater, I would love the Ginsberg is God one....maybe one day eh? Maybe we will be rocking them in our 70s ;-) xxxxx

  11. Gosh that's a good line up - and you HAVE to have that 1970 sweater - I was 1962 - wish she had one of those

    1. It's funny, I read somewhere that Bella Freud (I could be making this up) only put 1970 on the jumper because she liked the way it looked rather than because it had any particular significance. It's not her birth year for a fact. But I think we should just go and look in to getting our own jumpers made up and embroidered with our birth years. Probably much cheaper.
