Topshop Petite Faux Leather Biker (regular size version here)
Isabel Marant Etoile Shirt (old)
Forever21 Khakis (old) (nice alternative here)
Swedish Hasbeens (old)

That little biker up there? It's the most perfect fitting biker jacket I have ever tried on in my life. The sleeves are not too long nor are they too tight, the back is not too short and I can even fasten it up. It also doesn't pouff up near the chest area where some jackets are shaped to accommodate a bosom. And for a faux leather jacket, it's a rather good one I have to say.

However.

It squeaks. Yes it does. Squeak, squeak, squeak. I squeak like a mouse when I move. Hmmm.

I've read the reviews on the Topshop site (I wish all stores had a place where people could leave reviews as these are extremely helpful) and my jacket is not a one off. They do squeak apparently but the noise will disappear. So there is hope.

But now I'm in a quandary. Do I keep and wear with the hope of the squeak disappearing? Or hold tight for the ultimate non squeaking perfect fit biker (preferably real leather)? I'm not sure one exists out there for little old me! :(

  1. Oh no! Perhaps go down the leather route...? I can vouch for my petites one *not* squeaking. Or hold out I say! As getting the sleeves right when petite is a nightmare and this one looks great on you.

    1. Your leather one looks good but I'm quite long in the body actually and it looks too short round the back for me. When I spotted this one, it was in the main section so I didn't even know there was a petite one but I was going to try it anyway as I thought it looked really good. The fact that it grabbed me from the off means it had a lot going for it. Just need to sort out the squeaking. It does seem to be calming down though.

  2. Oh, very nice biker jacket and clogs. My pleather jacket did squeak and now it doesn't. It is a really useful piece.

    1. That's good to know. I tried it again today and it might be my imagination but it does seem to be squeaking less! There is hope!

  3. I'd definitely hang onto it! Can you wear it round the house to try to get the squeak out? It would also save on the heating bills...

    1. Yes it would wouldn't it? I keep trying it on and it does seem to be getting better. There's no getting away from the fact though that it actually seems to fit me which is pretty major in itself! I know you love your leather jackets. Anyway, watch this space ... we might even get a band tee next! ;o)
