Quick OOTD : 10/11/15 Shearling

Tuesday 10 November 2015

I hear shearling is back in again! Which is great because I've been wearing this coat for the last three years because it keeps me warm despite it looking like I take my fashion cues from Del Boy and sometimes feeling a bit of a plonker. ;o)

Barneys Original Faux Shearling Coat (old), Primark khaki jumper, Zara self patched jeans (old), Next Cheetah pumps (old)

Last Notes :

  • I also have a real shearling one handed down from my sis but I prefer my faux one as it's lighter and easier to wear.
  • I also like these two :

Topshop Faux Shearling Car Coat (This is really cute)

  1. I gave my newish faux-shearling jacket that I bought last year away. I learned a good lesson from it: I never feel like wearing brown (sub lesson: I don't do 70's well). Too bad bacause it was cute and warm and I do like all your picks! Just not for me, I guess...

    1. Brown isn't really an in colour at the moment I guess. Its not for everyone I agree but I don't mind this little coat - it's "greige". Topshop did a similar one to mine a few years back and I didn't indulge in the time but when I spotted mine on ASOS, I thought I'd give it a whirl and found that I really liked it. It does get worn every year from what I've noticed - that's probably because it is warm!

And I do normally happily embrace the 70s trend but when it was such a big thing this year - I kind of went off it. It's the 80s I didn't get on well with.

  2. Oh you lucky girl having that in the closet! After lusting over the Acne Velocite I took the plunge and received the AllSaints Beck coat the other day:)

  6. Gorgeous coat Sue! My very trendy London friend picked up a fab one on eBay in the Summer for pennies (so ahead of the game!) and I was positively drooling over it, now they are going for a lot more money! You did well to hold onto to this one! xx

    1. Did she get a real one? I do have a real one but the style of this one is more relaxed and much easier to wear.
