The weather turned after I took the pics like it always does. Pfft. And by the afternoon, I was in a pair of jogging bottoms and a bit sweatshirt ... for some cricket practice with the boys. But at least I tried although it was brief.
Oh I can't do that - that's too much like hard work! But I'm loving your denim skirt work at the moment. I think I may have to give mine a whirl providing the weather stays kind. We shall see.
OMG (and I don't say that often!) how dare you say you wear dresses with less ease than jeans, girl???? This is so beautiful, and you wear it so perfectly, I would actually rush out and snap this one up if it was recent. It is the loveliest shade of blue....and with that little cardi, the bag and our trusty little carvela's! (mine are still going strong and as new!)...One of my faves of yours for sure.
And the skies may be blue, but has that arctic wind died off yet? I hope so. I was in Southport yesterday, it almost blew me back home again;)
Ah you're too kind Louise. The dress is quite wearable because it's the perfect oxford shirt blue and doesn't scream look at me in too obvious a way. I feel very happy in the blues as they are basically a follow on from all my denim colours so not too alien. But it doesn't feel natural at all to reach for a dress - and I nearly always have to wear a heel when I wear a dress - they just stop me looking so stumpy. I tried it on with some white band sandals and though the whole look was quite fresh - it did little for my legs so back to the trusty tan sandals. And yes, let's bless the Carvela's - one of my best ever buys.
And the wind hasn't quite died off. It's still there but I'm not complaining - it's ten times better than what it was at the weekend!
You look gorgeous Sue...Love that perfect shade of blue on you! I am trying at every warm spell to get the legs out but last night I was absolutely frozen...still so windy here! Goosebumps and fake tan on my legs is not a good look!! Helen xx
There are certain shades of blue which work really well against my skin tone. They are usually the vibrant cornflower/azure shades. Pale baby blues die on me a little in comparison. And it's been sunny over here but I wouldn't say it was that warm - there were moments when I thought I'd been a bit hasty getting the old legs out!
Love that little dress Sue, just so wearable and chic, just the kind of dress I love. With a little tie waist (flattering) and a perfect length, you wear it well! xxx
I think the dress manages to finish on a flattering part of my legs - the critical point. But it's a fun little dress to wear ... can you imagine in France, skipping down the road, with a baguette in your basket? I can dream!
A word on working with brands and affiliate links.
In the interests of transparency I do mark at the beginning of a blog post if an item has been gifted or if it's a paid collaboration with a brand. If affiliate links are used, I will also mark this at the beginning of a blog post so you are aware that if you click on the link I will earn a very small commission from those brands. There is no cost to you however if you click on that link, I may however earn enough in a year for a lunch.
Very Cute! Not hot enough here yet for a legs out moment. Enjoy it while it lasts x

DeleteIt is so lovely to see you in a dress Sue! This is just perfect! It's best to get the legs out at every opportunity whilst the sun is shining! xx

DeleteI love you in a dress! More more more (I'm sure I said this last time you wore one)!
ReplyDeleteIt's not a good thing. It always clouds over when I do!
