Fitting In

Saturday, 2 May 2015

Ah, little white handbag! I see you're going to be an excellent addition to the wardrobe - you get along so nicely with the clothes I already have! Excellent team play!

Gap Oxford Shirt (old), Jack Wills Jeans (old), Mango Sandals (current), Primark Bag (current)

Gap cashmere jumper (old), Jack Wills Jeans (old), Topshop Espadrilles (old), Primark Bag (current)

Jigsaw Jumper (current), Zara Jeans with diy patches (old), Birkenstocks (old), Primark Bag (current)

Not that I should need to justify a £6 white handbag but isn't it nice to realise that you weren't off your rocker when you bought one?

Have a lovely bank holiday weekend everyone!

Last Note :

  • My black and white espadrilles were bought last year but similar versions are available here and here.

    1. I'm wishing you luck. Zara had a white leather one out this week which I liked the look of online but wasn't so good in real life. It just looked a bit squished actually. I hope you find yours!

    1. Black, white, grey. What's not to love AnnMarie? And yes, the dark colours come back to the fore when the weather has been as miserable as it has :(

  4. I love the bag Sue! Just about to read your post about it too - I especially like how it looks against the more grey tones, the colour (or should I say, lack of it!) really pops xx

    1. I think the white really works - it makes a nice change from a black bag or something like that which I would default to. Adds a little freshness I think :)

  5. Love it - you really know how to team things - I've always loved those espadrilles - TopShop have a snakeskin version this year that I love xx

    1. Joanna - I don't think there are enough days in the year for all your footwear! The snakeskin versions sound good ... but I refuse to look at them. I do not need. I do not need .... and repeat!

    1. Yes if it's not a good team player ... we need to have a think and review. Some things deserve a second chance because under performers can suddenly find themselves coming into their own when they're back in fashion :)

  7. I think that bag has earned it's keep already!! Goes with so many outfits, that's when you know it's a real bargain! I am currently *trying* to be good so currently talking myself out of getting this bag! ;0) XX

    1. It's a cute size for the school run. Just enough room for a phone, keys, tissues and a small umbrella not that I need one as I'm likely to be in the car when it rains. And a big coat with a hood! And yes, you are being good and you will succeed! I'm willing you to.

    1. Louise - that's the loveliest thing you could say. I so often think I really should try and up the anti on my clothes but then again, it wouldn't really be me. Mwah!

  10. i really like the bag sue - proenza look without the insane price tag! i've been thinking about a white handbag for ages ever since mansur gavriel came out with white bucket bags.. still haven't been brave enough to make the jump but it's certainly a versatile colour as you're demonstrating here (well, if i can keep it white haha!)

    1. Well Steph, I don't have the budget for the real thing and I don't think I'd buy the real thing in white (practical to the end) so this is just perfect for me to play around with. I love how it's small but not too small. So ... are you considering the Mansur Gavriel in white? You're brave.

    1. I didn't really think I was missing a white bag Avril and to be honest, I'm not. But now that I have it ... I'm seeing how versatile it actually is.
