They've arrived! And I really can't complain. Soft gold leather and not too brassy in tone. Not too much faff to put on and best of all - not too much of the lacing detail.
So, that's me sorted for gold sandals this summer then :o)
Now do I need the black version too :o?
----------------------------
Last Note :
- Yup, I've got my sandals on, on my bed. But they are new and they've not been outside yet. So I'm allowed!
Now these are perhaps what I need instead of those black ones I ordered (and returned)
ReplyDeleteAlways bang on the trend wagon Sue!
They are probably a little lighter and easier to wear than the black ones you originally ordered. I don't think these squeak either ;o)
DeleteThey look great! Gold flats are a summer staple, don't you think? I've kind of decided on a pair of pale gold wedge espadrilles but I might not be so sure anymore :)
ReplyDeleteWell I do have a pair of gold wedge espadrille sandals and those are lovely but as these are flat - I think they make for easier day time wearing. Why not get both? High and low!
DeleteYes, you need the black version! Do I need the gold version...? Hah.
ReplyDeleteI love them, like a kind of 'smart sandal' - I'd wear these to a business meeting or a wedding no problem :-)
I may have sneaked off for some black ones too ;o) You're a good enabler!
DeleteVery nice, at that price I would order the black ones. X
ReplyDeleteReally fun for the summer! Quite flat but a lot of these summer sandals are. I will probably put in a little padded insole to cushion them further - I like being nice to my feet.
DeleteI was looking forward to you posting these. Maybe this is the way to go for me. I worn out looking for lace up sandals. They look fab x
ReplyDeleteYou can but try Donna. They're quite feminine in the gold colour so I think you might actually consider these dressy enough for your standards!
DeleteAre they real leather? If so how can you say no to the black pair too!? x
ReplyDeleteThey are real leather so they are a super little buy. And I am now in possession of the black too. How could I say no?
Deleteooo, I may have to acquire some of those myself! I tried the Boden Lille ones but god they crippled me. So I ended up with these thanks to Kat linking to them! http://www.marksandspencer.com/suede-cuff-lace-up-sandals/p/p22378450
ReplyDeleteSeriously comfy and great daywear.
I tried the Boden ones too but decided they weren't for me. But I'm quite happy with these little gold ones and the leather is nice and soft. The M&S ones look like a good buy - and comfy!
DeleteI am tapping my fingers here waiting for my gold ones to arrive! I know these will slot perfectly in my wardrobe to go with my new khaki trews and my Mango cream dress from last year which is calling out for some grecian like shoes! Having tried on the black ones yesterday I am considering them too! xx
ReplyDeleteNew Look delivery is actually quite quick unless you are doing a pick up in store? I think the gold ones are a good buy - the more I try them on, the more I like them which is a good thing. Normally I start going off them which is when I have to return. And I bought the black but you know what ... I already have something similar and so I can't justify them. Back they will have to go.
DeleteGorgeous! Love them!!

Thank you Kenzie. And I love your Free People clogs! I want!
DeleteOooh I want a pair (in both colors) too!!.....How is the fit, I have silly narrow little feet and sometimes New Look are too wide for me? Helen xx
ReplyDeleteI think they may come up big on you Helen. I always think I have wide feet so have to be careful with sandals incase my feet look like they are squishing out of them. But these are very accommodating and because they are such a soft leather - they have a bit of give. And isn't it funny, there are problems whether you have wide feet or narrow. Hmmph.
DeleteNow these are right up my street - I've just not been feeling the love for the black ones. Also interesting to read your feedback on the fit as I have a wider foot up around my toes and lots of the ones in the high street have been too narrow for me. Thanks for the tip-off Sue! x
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome Avril. They are quite flat so I don't know if they will be comfortable for you in that respect. I was thinking of adding a little pair of stick on padded insoles to cushion them. I do that with some of my really flat pumps when you feel like you're almost banging the ground with your heel because the soles and heel are barely there. Just a thought.
DeleteThese are lovely, Sue. I prefer them to the black version. Gorgeous! Lynne xx
ReplyDeleteAmazing & real leather too! Perfect! x
