Wishing & Hoping Update. Plumo Shadow Bag.

Wednesday 4 July 2012
Yes, I did something about the wishing and hoping and did some ordering and now the first purchase is here.  The Plumo shadow bag.

Lovely leather detailing

However this bag which I have wanted since I first clapped eyes on it is possibly too big for me. It has great bum hiding potential but I have to admit I am having my doubts about the size and whether it is drowning me a little (or lot in this case).

Good bum coverage

I still love the shadow cloud pattern on the bag, I still love the colour too but there is no denying that I think a person a foot taller might look better carrying this one around. Strange, I remember vaguely looking at the measurements of the bag on the website when I ordered it ... but I guess I must have just chosen to blatantly ignore them.

Look the handles match the sandals!

Like the Zara tote I had previously considered, this has proven to be another "big as your torso" bag.  See.  I'm almost a bag with limbs.

Is it too big?

I still really like it though.  My friend saw it today and said it was lovely - that's put the mockers on sending it straight back then. I will need to think carefully about this - it's getting a reprieve for another week when I have to decide whether this is a keeper or it's a visit to the post office to do a returns on the way home from the school run.

Decisions, decisions again.  Oh bog. Or should that be "Oh bag!"

  1. Haha! It is nice...perhaps a bit big for a petite person but that wouldn't necessarily have to stop you. I'm petite and I often use large bags and think they look good. I find that most cross-body bags don't suit most people very well, so maybe just hanging this off your shoulder or using as a tote! Though, with kids this can get a little tricky...

    1. I know - I need someone to tell me like it is. What you see yourself isn't always what other people see. Oh well .... may have to go for the little APC number I've also spotted elsewhere. Can't keep a good woman down!

  2. It is a lovely bag... the pattern is gorgeous! The only problem I have with large bags is the fact I fill them up with so much, I can never find the important things like keys, etc in a hurry:)

    1. I know - I am pretty bad at not emptying my bags and then go round complaining how heavy it is. The bonus is sometimes you find a five which you weren't expecting. That makes it worth it. Jury still out on the bag. Hmm.

    1. I'm pretty sure I will be mourning it if I send it back. And then I'll have to pay extra postage to reorder it. But I do like the print .... and like I said, it's a great size for smuggling in purchases!

  4. Hmm.... I think it's far too long for you. I love big bags but they have to be in proportion to my size. I think it'll suit you more if it was wider than longer.

    1. It's been sent back already. I wasn't 100% happy with the size of it and I guess I knew that or else I wouldn't be voicing it. But I won't think about it too much, there's too many goodies out there to be lusting after! But I still love the print ;o)

  5. wow i am loving this tote bag so much, too bad that you sent it back :( but then again, you have to be true to yourself and your own style. i can see what you mean about it being too long and not being happy with the size, but i think the sizing could really work well for a very laid back sort of outfit.

    1. Oh you're so pretty! The bag is lovely and it half broke my heart to send it back but I guess I just knew it was too big. But not to worry ... there's always something else around the corner. I would have put so much in it (have to cater for 2 little boys) that it would have been trailing the floor by the time I'd finished or I would have become a hunchback. Will have a little nosey now through your blog - it looks pretty cool (now I sound like a teenager - sigh).
