Christmas Looks

Friday, 11 December 2015

It's the Mums Christmas do tonight. Woohoo. Got my bottle of non-alcoholic spritzer chilling in the fridge and I'm just about ready except, I can't make my mind up about what to wear?

Do I go for this one?

Uniqlo Silk Shirt
H&M Pleather Leggings (similar here),
F&F Shoes (similar here)
Vintage Snakeskin Clutch

Nothing like mixing up a few textures here, with a bit of black velvet, silk, pleather, pony hair and snakeskin. Well it is Christmas!

Or ... should I edge it up a little and go with something a little bit shiny shiny? And I get to wear my party shoes!

Hobbs NW3 Cardigan
Uniqlo Silk Shirt

Or the wild card? A skirt! A gold skirt at that!

ASOS Soulmate shoes, H&M Bracelet

What's a girl to wear? I am actually only at someone's house with a takeaway :o))))

  1. Oooh! All such great looks! The last look is the most fashion-forward IMHO. The first one is maybe the most flattering. But all utterly fab. Have fun!

    1. I went with the skirt in the end. This was more to do with the fact that I had spent all day in the pleather leggings anyway so I felt I needed to wear something different! I like all the different looks but for different reasons but it's nice to have options.

  3. Love them all, but the skirt outfit is my most favourite. Careful you don't drop curry on the skirt ;) Sue xx

    1. I felt the last one had that little bit extra and it is Christmas after all so I needed a little something different. I can wear either of the other two outfits whenever I like but it's not everyday that someone trots down the road in a gold skirt ... well not in my village or school run anyway.

    1. Mine is an oldie - a good ten years and more but they seem to have a few around this year in H&M and Next though I've not checked them out properly yet. And I do love a bit of velvet actually.

    1. The skirt Michelle, the skirt! It was very much a last minute decision as it was so cold and I didn't know if I wanted to actually get my legs out but seeing as I was driving there and only had to walk 2 metres, I felt I could suffer that much. The skirt and the party shoes went down a storm actually which really surprised me as I thought it might they might be a little too unusual. Just goes to prove doesn't it?

    1. It's funny you should say that, people actually said the skirt was really elegant which I didn't think they would - I was waiting for the bacofoil comments :o)

  9. All very lovely outfits! I have a vintage (i.e. ancient!)black velvet blazer that I tend to trot out for odd nights out as it instantly makes an outfit dressed up.

The skirt outfit is most Christmassy, though. You have reminded me I have chiffon skirt that I should dig out...
