The more it snows ...

The more it
Snows-tiddely pom,
The more it
Goes-tiddely pom,
The more it
Goes-tiddely-pom,
On
Snowing

And nobody
Knows-tiddely pom,
How cold my
Head-tiddely pom,
Is
Growing.

And the colder it
Gets-tiddely pom,
Requires a hat
For my head-tiddely pom,
Like
This.

I've plagiarised poor AA Milnes' poem just so I could show you my pom pom hat ;o)

Om, tiddely om pom - POM POM !

Sorry, I couldn't resist. Forgive me.

If you're going to wear a hat this winter, apparently it needs a pom pom on it. One of the best I've seen is a handmade one by Emma from Allwornout.  She even provides you with some instructions and tells you where to source your furry pom poms. I however do not wear hats very often and I also have the best Kenny hood ever on my parka so I am making do with my cheap and cheerful grey marl Matalan one. From the mens section of course.

Because there are days when I might just want to wear a pom pom on my head :o)

    1. Totally agree on the pom pom front. Funny how these things suddenly hit you isn't it? I love the one you have - from the Travelling Bazaar? If I thought I was going to wear hats more, I'd invest in one of those.

  6. You funny thing - I do love your pom pom - and another great idea to raid the men's section - I got my cashmere beanie in the men's section at Nordstrom - half the price of a woman's one - they must think we're daft;) xx

    1. Well I do have a cashmere Brora one which the Grumps bought me for Christmas one year but as it's kind of grey and plain, he's kind of commandeered it back. And I thought it was only women who did this kind of thing!

I have to look at the ones in the mens section because they fit my big bonce.

    1. That crazy effect took me ages. I had to put each individual snowflake on manually. That's how blooming not clever I really am.

  9. I wish I can wear these knitted pom pom beanies but they make my moon face even rounder. Actually, I just bought another similar to yours for LL.

    1. You keep saying that but you look great in your fedora's and trilby styles and those are so much more stylish. I think there's a beanie out there for you somewhere. Keep looking.

  10. Loving the pom pom hat! I got Leila one but keep trying to squeeze it on myself! Love your one with the mustard scarf, very 'Love Story' chic!

    1. I guess it is a bit isn't it? If I was really current, I'd have a furry pom pom but I kind of went with the one which was convenient and actually fitted on my head. "Simples" as those dratted meerkats would say.

  11. How cute do you look?! For a change I'm actually 'in' this year, as I have a hat with a pom pom ... a cream wool (acrylic!) hat with a brown furry pom pom bought in Gap by The Child last Xmas for me! It's very sweet ... all I need now, is some snow, so that I can wear it :)

    1. You don't need snow - just get in on your bonce and off you go!
