Nothing ridiculous, and not insane amounts, but I've just turned 40, and it doesn't take much for me to start putting it on and feel heavy, sluggish and gross. I'm not joining a gym or having dry January, but am just getting back to being sensible and healthy-ish again. Thankfully! Nice to indulge, but also nice to feel good and fit into my clothes. I started off with really good intentions this week and did a bit more walking on the school run when it was dry and there wasn't a force 10 gale blowing us all over the pavements. I do find that if I'm busy or out of the house, I don't think about eating. So that will be my plan - to get busier and I'm starting off by doing a days volunteering with the school on Monday by going down to the woods with them. But I do like the odd packet of crisps - I'm a savoury girl.

And the clean and lean diet? I've tried not to bandy the word diet around too much and use "healthier eating" as the word diet tends to send me in to a desperate eating frenzy. For me, the main thing is less wine. I drank every day over Christmas and I'm enjoying abstaining now. I am having a green smoothie every day for breakfast (though I've not bought the nutribullet, just using my old hand blender) and I'm loving them. Even hubby is in on it! I've always drunk tonnes of water and I'm still doing that and I enjoy lots of dog walks so those will continue (though I think I'm a bit addicted to the health app on my iPhone which tells me how many steps I've done each day and I'm constantly trying to do more). The problem is its my 40th in a few days so it'll all start again :-( wish me luck! Lynne xxDorothy Camperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04003530140111047958noreply@blogger.com
